VENUE

The ISMSM-5 takes place from 16-18 April 2018 at the ‘Haus der Ingenieure’ (House of Engineers), Eschenbachgasse 9 (left entrance), 1010 Wien. 

The House of Engineers was built in the 1870s and features historical rooms in the style of the Renaissance that have been restored to their original charm – such as the ceremonial hall that will serve as the symposium’s main lecture hall – as well as modern rooms, creating a unique mix of contemporary and classical styles.

The venue’s central location in Vienna’s historical first district makes it easily accessible with public transport and famous Viennese locations such as the Natural and Art History Museums, the Vienna State Opera, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and many more can be reached by foot directly from the venue. 

The venue is mostly accessible by wheelchair (e.g. via an elevator) with the exception of a few stairs at the entrance. Please do not hesitate to contact us (congress@univie.ac.at) to arrange any assistance.
